Don't get me wrong!
This Blog, this website is not(!) "against" Antigua!
Quite to the contrary: ANTIGUA is a great, a fantastic, an incredibly beautiful place and that most certainly does include (most of) the people living there.....

BUT:
This website is about the exception - and even so Tripadvisor finds it totally normal what is going on there and refuse to publish the EVIDENCE (see: www.Reefview-Apartments.com) collected (yet alone kick these people and their psycho-apartments off their site! - which by itself is pretty hard to believe) - I am absolutely certain, that no decent person on earth can or will agree with Tripadvisor that to "be OK"....

The Beach House .... a truly magical place!
Careful though: Unfortunately the owners of this place seem to think nothing to be wrong with the evidence we have unearthed about Reefview-Apartments! So chances unfortunately are that you'd get victimized in the same way as at Reefview-Apartments. Better protect yourself - or simply ignore that gorgeous place all together and stay else-where. What a pity!

All of the above do have in common:
1) They are correctly represented by the respective websites
2) you can book them directly without having to throw commissions in the direction of Tripadvisor et al - meaning you might end up getting a better rate (for all of the above you can contact me for either their email address or mobile phone number,... and No! I do not make any commissions out of my recommendations! :-) )
3) They all are right on the beach and not just put the word "beach" and "ocean" multiple times into their name & description while actually being quite "off-off-off the beach" like that one: www.reefview-apartments.com/location (brrrr, what a nightmare place!)
4) They all have the advantage that you could cook your own meals (bringing down total cost of vacation considerably - which of course does not mean, that you have to do that! There are ample restaurants all over the island, and if you care for my advice on that: Check out the small local ones, that usually don't look like much but usually do offer fabulous home-cooking food quality PLUS a true "taste of the Caribbean"!)
5) They all are "owner-operated".... meaning, if you make a reservation for a longer stay or travel on short notice, chances are you can negotiate the rate a little bit.
